Webinar – “NOISE POLLUTION AND LARGE PORTS – LESSONS OF THE 2014-2021 PROGRAMMING PROJECTS FOR THE MITIGATION OF SOUND IMPACT”

The 2014-2021 programming comes to an end and with it the many actions of analysis, monitoring and mitigation of the acoustic impact that have been carried out in the ports and along the main transport and logistics axes. The knowledge produced is very relevant, specialized, and in some cases has led to the conclusion of infrastructural interventions, on a small scale, for the mitigation of noise. What were the main lessons, useful indications for the next programming. Where it remains necessary to invest in knowledge, and where of course in noise reduction works. The webinar of November 30th 2021, organized by the projects is intended to shed light on this knowledge gathered, with aa close insight of what has been done in the ports managed by the Norther Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority System.
The webinar is carried out within the LIFE ANCHOR project and the IT-FR MARITTIMO RUMBLE project, and will be an opportunity for technical insights on noise measurement and mitigation, discussion of the perspectives for ecological transition ports and public involvement mechanisms. private towards a complete sustainability of port and logistic operations.
